Mr. LEVELING THINNER is excellent for spray (airbrush) applicators.

Mixing Mr. LEVELING THINNER into Mr. COLOR at a ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 improves coat leveling and increases shine. When drying is slow because of insufficient air current during winter months, it is best to mix Mr. COLOR THINNER into Mr. LEVELING THINNER.

The mixture will be dry to the touch after a period of about 10 minutes.

There’s a reason Mr. Levelling Thinner is called “unicorn tears”.

If you use an airbrush to paint your models, then Mr. Levelling Thinner (MLT) is the one product you absolutely need. Because it’s slower to dry than other lacquer thinners it allows your paints and primers to level into a perfectly smooth finish. It works with lacquers (like AK Real Colors and Mr. Color), alcohol-based acrylics (like Tamiya), and even some water-based acrylics (like Ammo).
The only time it’s not the best is when thinning a paint that has suspended particles (like matte coats and metallics), because the slower drying allows the particles to settle too much. In those cases you want to use Mr. Rapid Thinner.

This is the best thinner for really smooth gloss or satin paint finishes and it works well for Tamiya Lacquer paints as well as Mr color paints.
