There’s 23. So we will be doing two more Marines because the other two are lonely. Call them the Beatles cuz there’ll be four. Haha.

Anyway, um so again, Marines aren’t difficult. You are you only need two things, right? You only need a nipper and ciment. Technically three with sanding. Uh however, even with sanding, which again I already previously mentioned takes time, only only really sand the officers and the guys that stand out and the characters. But what I’m saying is Marines in and of itself is not difficult. In fact, they’re quite easy as you can see, right? Uh these are push fit, but even without push fit, you only need ciment, right? Uh that being said, it’s very easy to build a lot, but then get overwhelmed in the painting aspect of it. Uh leave a comment below if you want me to paint one of these Marines in any particular color scheme. By the way, that will be a separate video. But regardless of that, what I’m saying is take it one Marine, one miniature at a time.

You know the old saying in World War II where quantity is equality in and of itself or whatever for uh Russia when they’re talking about Russia where they were producing tanks faster than Germany can destroy. Uh and they were out producing Germany like 20 to1 or something ridiculous. Uh yeah, that is true in the hobby as well. It’s easy to get burned out. It’s easy to get overwhelmed. Um, if you’re a beginner, which I’m assuming a lot of you are, maybe you’re not and you’re just watching this for fun, but you might be burnt out, uh, this is for you, too. Um, yeah, take it one miniature at a time. The Marines aren’t going anywhere. Make sure you do not regret your $300 purchase.

If you split the box, then it’s 150. Still, that’s a decent amount of money, especially in this day and age. Uh, so yeah, take it one step at a time. Do not be Icorus and go close to the sun, right? Um uh moderation is key. Uh these Marines are easy, but the difficulty comes in army painting. There’s always two kinds of Warhammer builders and painters. The individual ones where they build one uh miniature at a time. And not only that, they spend a month painting that single miniature or they do it one miniature at a time, but then they army build. So it’s like a conveyor belt. Um that is a quality in of itself and I don’t expect any beginner to do that uh because that is ridiculous. So yeah take it one step. Is this easy? Just slow be water breathe.

Build

How You’ve got to be kidding me. That’s it. No. Going to say this right now. It doesn’t have a base is personal preference. I prefer to make the base first and then super glue the Marine on top. Um, I feel like the marine gets in the way too much, especially if I’m using texture paints, which uh makes it difficult and then sometimes it may even get on the armour, which if you’re weathering the marine, then I guess so. It’s fine. Um, but if you’re not and you want it uh parade ready, it will ruin your day that there’s texture paint on the boot. Uh, it will look terrible. Uh, so that’s why and unlike the other thing I said earlier where you take it one Marine at a time, uh, painting one base at a time is no big deal.

Especially if you’re doing things like again texture paint, you can just slap that on one every like 30 seconds basically. No big deal. Uh, or better yet, have a tub full of grass and put Elmer’s glue on the the base and just slap it on the top of grass or dirt or rock or all three. Actually, it’s a good idea to mix them in a pot and just toss your uh base with Elmer’s and yeah, do that. So, yeah, these are Marines and again, they’re the tactical marines uh rip the old firstborn kit, but they replaced it essentially with these new ones.

Again, they have not admitted it, but that’s basically what they are. All right, these are going to be the new age tactical marines or sorry Primaris Tactical Marines. And for those of you who aren’t in the know, tactical marines are just your generic non-melee more shooty guys uh with a lot more weapon options than your standard Intercessor Assault uh Intercessor or even just the standard Intercessor from ninth and 10th. Yeah, these are Tactical Marines for.
