Discover King of the Mississippi and its renewed paddle steamer wooden model kit. The real steamer was entirely made of wood and equipped with boilers to move their iconic wheelpales, these ships were the solution to transport passengers and merchandise along the river well into the XX Century.

Steamboats played an important role in the development of the Mississippi River basin and its tributaries allowing a convenient transportation in both directions of the river. They helped to reduce the immensity of America and as ‘theater boats’ reduced the solitude of this immensity. America is not just modernism: it’s also romance and dreams! CONTENTS OF KING OF MISSISSIPPI MODEL SHIP KIT
Build the renewed 1:80 scale model of the classic King of the Mississippi paddle steamer. Its system of construction by means of false keel and frames wil help you to build your model in the same way than the construction of the real ship.

The model ship kit contains all the parts the modeler needs to build it: 8 sheets of high precision laser-cut plywood parts, birch and basswood strips, veneers and dowels, 2 large photoetched sheets (294x156mm & 257×122 mm), including more and more amazing details as never seen before. It also has die-cast, brass and wood details, fittings, adhesive cloth flags and exhibition base with nameplate as a bonus.

With full digital instructions: precise step-by-step images. Printed instructions are not available. Remember that you can download the digital instructions for free from this product sheet, by clicking on the button called ‘Instructions’. The kit box also includes a QR code that redirects you to the sheet by scanning it with your mobile phone. Upon completion of the model it has 25.98” (660 mm) length, 7.55” (192 mm) height and 5.11” (130 mm) width.
