Description

During the numerous campaigns conducted by the German army in the Second World War, the need often arose to face fortified centers of resistance or defensive agglomerations in urban areas where the use of artillery or aviation was denied by close contact between the enemy. and their own troops. This is how this “demolition” version of the Tigre tank was created (see Italeri 6471 kit) which featured a formidable 38 cm rocket cannon coupled to the powerful hull; of very short range caliber but with enormous destructive power. The Sturmtiger was built in a small number and was used at the end of 1944 mainly in the Western Front.
