Description
The 313 ° Acrobatic Training Group of the Italian Air Force, better known as “Frecce Tricolori” is based at the Rivolto airport, in the province of Udine. The department was officially born in 1961, gathering, in a single highly specialized unit, the legacy of other aerobatic patrols organized at the level of the various Stormi to represent the skills of the pilots of the national air force in the country and abroad. Initially the formation was equipped with the Canadair CL-13 “Saber” which was later replaced with the Fiat G.91. Since the first half of the 1980s the team has been using the Aermacchi MB 339 A / PAN with a formation of nine aircraft and a soloist (the largest aerobatic formation in the world).
