When the Mustang coupe and convertible was introduced at the New York World’s Fair in April of 1964, the automotive buying public went crazy for its stylish new long hood, short deck design. Less than a year later, Ford unleashed its fastback 2+2 body style, proving that lightning can indeed strike twice.
