The Yukikaze earned her place in naval history as “the Lucky Destroyer” – the sole Kagero-class vessel to survive World War II virtually unscathed.

Built as the eighth Kagero-class destroyer in January 1940, the Yukikaze distinguished herself through some of the Pacific Theater’s most intense naval engagements.
