Description
Baron Manfred Freiherr von Richthofen and his red Fokker triplane made history during the First World War. The Fokker Dr. I was introduced on the Western Front in June 1917 and was only approved by the General Staff after a lengthy test phase and with the approval of flying ace Manfred von Richthofen. the dr I was the most maneuverable of all aircraft used and achieved high rates of climb. With the Oberusel radial engine (power 110 hp), the Dr. I had a top speed of 193 km/h and could climb to 3000 m in 6 minutes. Two Spandau machine guns were installed in front of the cockpit. All pilots in the group around Richthofen flew red triplanes. At the end of 1917 the Dr. I withdrawn from the western front,

Although I have not started this model yet, I'm really looking forward to it as its been many years since I made any models. Delivery was fast and package was not damaged and contents look good.
I have not had a chance to make this model but it should make into a good replica of the real triplane It comes in a good end opening box with nice artwork of the Fokker Triplane
