Revell Harbour Tug Boat 1/108 Scale RVG 05207

I’m new to model making and I’ve fallen in love with it. I’m really into boats and ships with a more civilian nature and I had so much fun with this one.

Have only just started. So far things going well. Not much experience building plastic models so really have no source of comparison but seems simple enough. Decent quality and clear instructions. Had to buy 11 different paint colours so this added to expense. Never thought to look into this beforehand. I’m sure I’ll be satisfied with end result.

First, opened the box to check it out but no build yet. Second, the bright red plastic! Not sure about future painting - guess it'll need a good primer? Physical size is quite small but should be possible to add a few extra details. At this price point don't expect great detail, it is basic. As noted in another review, there will be a fair bit of flash clean up. Didn't notice any badly molded parts. Still, it should be a fun build.

Haven't started the model, but I am impressed with their shipping. I also bought some of their models paints , which a little cheaper than other hobby stores.

This an older kit by Revell that could do with a new tooling but it can be fun if you like tugs & don't mind some clean up work.
