The beauty of this kit is that you get a good look at the 17ml shades of several metallic colours so you can know which larger rattle bottles you might need. It's good to see them up close and in person like this, you get silvers to a couple golds and copper/bronze. A great addition was Gunmetal, which I forgot to pick up on my own and is used almost everywhere in 40k.
A bright fluorescent is included if you want to experiment with it, signal red is a bit of an odd addition, and a really nice metallic blue. The wood is... kinda wood-like. But a neat addition is a metallic rust along with a flat rust.
Vallejo Air's are a bit thinner, but they're workable with a brush too.
